A dark and mysterious story about three mothers (Madeline, Celeste, and Jane) from northern California whose seemingly perfect lives are shaken by a murder during a fundraising event at their elementary school. Celeste is a woman with a perfect family life and an exemplary husband. However, she will fight to get something that keeps her awake every night. Madeline is a bold, fun-loving mother, but she will have to put up with her ex-husband and his current wife living in the same town as her. As for Jane, a single mother, her arrival in the new town will not be as pleasant as she might have imagined.
